I pose in front of the mirror as you know I often do
You take one glance
Then ask a question
That you know the answer to.
"Checking yourself out again?"
I’m checking myself out
I’m checking out my waist
That’s still a little too big
Who am I kidding,
A lot too big
I’m checking out my hair
Hating each strand that stands away from it’s intended place
Like it’s taunting me
Begging me to take a razor and peel it from my flesh
I checking out the dark shadows of self-hatred on my face
The signs of pain
(I blush with shame)
From where I cry myself to sleep
And all I get is time to weep
To be alone
But I don’t let you see all of that
I look up
Put on a fake smile
And I laugh in a fashion so hollow an empty I’m sure you’ll call me on it
"Yes, I’m checking myself out. Who couldn’t when you look as good as me?"

November challenge: Day 12- winter flowers (cyclamen)
November Challenge: Day 11- lest we forget
A day of remembrance,
To those lives lost,
A day of gratitude,
For all the cost.
A day for peace,
A day for hope,
A day to help,
Mourning families cope.
Lest we forget,
This important date,
Lest we forget,
The sacrifices great.

November Challenge: Day 6 - Nature
I guess what I’m trying to say with my not so great sketch is nature’s a beautiful gift that we have been given. We should love it and look after it.
